train like your life depends on it
someday it might
Hi, I'm Rob.
When I was a younger I did everything a young upper-middle class millennial was supposed to - got decent grades, went to college, landed an entry level white collar job in New York City. I hated it.
So in 2014 I decided to do what my heart always wanted to do. I enlisted in the U.S. Army as a combat medic. I succeeded beyond my wildest expectations.
Within one year I had traded the white collar cubicle for the tan beret of the Army’s Elite 75th Ranger Regiment. I passed the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP) and was then sent to the Special Operations Combat Medical (SOCM) course where I trained alongside Green Berets, Navy SEALS, and other special operations personnel for 8 months.
Then, I failed.
I was reassigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade - a top tier unit by conventional Army standards, but not special operations. It felt like choking on my shot at the big leagues and being sent down to AAA. For years, I could not lay down the burden of my own failure.
When I was struggling in the SOCM course, an instructor I deeply respected told me that there were many types of medics I could be - I just probably wasn’t “this” kind of medic. My ego couldn’t accept the advice at the time. I had been conditioned to believe that if I wasn’t a Ranger, I wasn’t worth shit.
But finally, I realized what he was trying to tell me. The path of an elite special operations medic was just not my path. And that’s okay.
My path was not to be a military operator, but to take what I learned back to the civilian realm and to help bridge the gap.
I am not David Goggins. I am not Jocko Willink. I am not an elite special ops soldier. That was not my path.
I am Rob Krisel. I am not an elite operator. I am a coach. My path was not to live in that world, but to observe, learn, and teach.
My personal mission was not to go to war, but rather to promote peace. I do this by helping everyday people do what I did - become better, stronger, and more capable versions of themselves.
Physical training is more than building muscle. When you approach it with wisdom and skill, physical training cultivates life force - the energy that allows you to show up fully in every domain of your life.
The quality of your life depends on your training - not because you’re preparing for war, but because physical health is the foundation that mental health, resilience, and moral fortitude are built upon. The stronger a foundation you build, the less likely it is to be threatened. And if one day a flood does hit you full force (literal or metaphorical), you’ll be strong enough to withstand it.
Strength maintains peace. Weakness invites chaos.
The quality of a society depends on the average quality of the individuals who live in it.
Unfortunately, things are not trending in a good direction. The average person is physically and mentally weak, undisciplined, lacks a moral compass, and is disconnected from both themselves and from a higher power. As a result, violence, social chaos, and reactive authoritarianism are on the rise across the world.
This is why I’m here to do this work. This was my calling, my mission - to bridge the gap, and to help lift others up. I’m here to create stronger individuals, so that we can create a stronger society, together.
Now you have a decision to make.
Will you do your part? Will you uplift yourself so that you can help steer your life and even society in a better direction? Or will you fall victim to the apathy and weakness that infects our world?
The world needs you to be strong. Your family needs you to be strong. You need to show yourself that you can be strong.
If this is striking a chord with you, let’s talk.
Planet Earth needs every strong human it can get. There’s no time for delay. Book your free assessment now and let’s get the ball rolling.
strong, wise, tough
integrated training for people who are ready to reach their full potential
building stronger individuals to create a stronger society
Who is this for?
My coaching is for people who are ready to do the work and want to transform their lives to the next level.
My students often:
Feel like they are capable of more in life, but don’t know how to get there
Are turned off by the extreme, toxic, and/or superficial fitness culture they see on social media
Are too smart to buy into empty motivational videos or quick tips, they need a methodology, and a plan
Value holistic personal development, not just physical obsession
Are ready to take responsibility for their own health and life circumstances
Know that there is a badass version 2.0 of themselves somewhere within them, waiting to be unlocked
You don’t need to become an elite operator. You need to become a believer in the strongest version of yourself.
You don’t need extreme discipline. You need sustainable, effective development.
You don’t need to be bombarded with toxic positivity and false motivation. You need to be shown a clear path forward.
If this resonates - this is for you. No matter where you’re at physically, I’ll meet you there. We’ll build together.
Who this isn’t for
If you want:
Quick fixes or rapid transformations based on unsustainable practices, crash dieting, or performance enhancing drugs
A coach who will coddle you or fail to call you out when you’re cheating yourself with BS excuses
To stay comfortable and avoid hard work
A program that prioritizes lots of junk busy-work that makes you feel like you’re maximizing your workouts over a program that prioritizes quality of reps and technique and actually builds true strength
… this isn’t it. I’m not that kind of coach. I recommend visiting your nearest F45. I coached at one long enough to realize cookie-cutter corporate HIIT classes are not where my passion lies.
How does it work?
Across personalized 8-12 week training mesocycles you’ll develop:
Strength to move heavy things when it matters

This is Full Spectrum Fitness - comprehensive capability across all domains. This is a training regimen that can lead not only to better health, but to evolution as a human being… if you are ready to go there.

Let’s get into it
STRONG - Definition
Physical capability across all domains. Not just lifting heavy things, but also the mindset of lifting heavy things. Physical and mental strength are both your shield and your ladder. They protect you and take you where you want to go.
WISE - Definition
Understanding yourself, your relative strengths & weaknesses, and your path. Wisdom means accepting reality without shame, learning from failure, and building with humility. It means making balanced decisions about training, recovery, and life.
TOUGH - Definition
Mental resilience and the capacity to keep building even when it's hard. Toughness isn't about screaming motivation or punishing yourself. It's about showing up consistently, taking responsibility, and making progress on the work that matters - especially when you don’t feel like it.

I’M NOT HERE TO COLLECT A PAYCHECK
There are plenty of “trainers” on Instagram who see you as a walking ATM machine. They want an easy paycheck, “passive income”. They fail to tell you that the most effective part of their programs are the performance enhancing drugs they use.
I'm not one of them. I don’t pollute my body with unnecessary drugs and I take equal care not to pollute my soul by making promises that I don’t intend to take seriously.
I'm not an influencer. I'm a coach with a collection of varied and genuine life experiences. I don’t teach what sells the best. I teach what works the best for the individual circumstances of the human being that has trusted me to be their coach.
I CHOSE THIS MISSION
For 9 years my duty was to the U.S. Army. My commanders dictated my mission and priorities. Now I have the freedom to choose my own mission.
I’ve chosen to do what I feel that a higher power has placed me here to do. Which is to help people become strong - to protect their health, their family, and their communities. It’s my duty to extend my hand and my guidance to those who need it. I took my duty very seriously in the Army and I take my duty to do the best for my students just as seriously.
I ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT WHAT I DO
So many people in the world just don’t care. They put forth a minimal effort or say what they need to say to collect a paycheck. I refuse to give in to that kind of apathy and attitude. I care about things. I care about people. I care about you. I give a shit. It reflects in my work.
I BRIDGE THE GAP
I'm here to take what works from elite military training - the discipline systems, the progressive methodology, the mental toughness protocols - and translate it for everyday people who want to become radically more capable.
You don't need to run 100 miles or do hell week. You need to build comprehensive capability that makes you useful to your family, your community, and yourself.
My mission is not to create warriors. It's to create strong, capable civilians with strong boundaries - confident people who actively protect their right to peace.
I HONOR YOUR HEALING JOURNEY
This is not just selling you a training plan - this is entering into a healing journey together. You are a multi-dimensional human being and everything that has ever happened in your life has played a role in the challenges you may be facing in the present.
There are only so many students I can take on while being able to give each of them the attention and care that they deserve. This is why I screen everybody before we start working together. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity.
What makes me different?
Enough from me, lets hear from the community
I call my training philosophy “Full Spectrum Fitness”. Full Spectrum Fitness can be broken down into 8 pillars of physical fitness that combine to support a human being who is capable of meeting all of life’s daily challenges as well as it’s unexpected surprises. Oh and nice side effect is that it results in looking pretty damn good at the beach too.
Here are the 8 pillars explained in no particular order:
Full Spectrum Fitness
-
The ability to move heavy things safely and effectively. This isn't just about the gym - it's about being useful in the real world. Can you carry someone who needs help? Can you move obstacles when it matters? Strength is the foundation everything else is built on.
-
Cardiovascular and muscular endurance to sustain effort when it matters. Can you move for an hour straight if you had to? Can you sprint when there's no time to warm up? Being strong isn’t worth much if you gas out after 30 seconds.
-
Range of motion and body control that keeps you injury-free and functional across all movement patterns. Tight hips and locked-up shoulders aren't just uncomfortable - they're injuries waiting to happen. Mobility is what allows you to actually use your strength without breaking down.
-
Your body's ability to withstand stress and recover from it without breaking down. This is about building resilient joints, tendons, and connective tissue that can handle things like accidentally rolling your ankle without suffering a sprain.
Injuries not only put a stop to your training and kill your momentum, they make you a burden.
-
Agility, coordination, and skill combined - the ability to move efficiently and effectively through space. Life doesn't happen in straight lines on stable surfaces. You need to be able to react, adjust, and move with control when situations demand it.
Without good movement quality you can’t follow the most important rule of U.S. Special Operations Forces - “Always look cool.” -
The capacity to push through discomfort, stay calm under pressure, and act when others freeze. Your body will quit before your mind does - if you let it. Mental toughness is what separates people who can handle adversity from people who crumble when things get hard.
And yes, it is an attribute that can be trained.
-
Knowing what real food is, how to fuel performance, and how to maintain healthy body composition without veering into obsessive self-criticism. You can't out-train a shit diet or a shit mind-set. Nutrition doesn't have to be complicated, but it does have to be real food - not processed garbage.
I do not count calories and I’ll never ask you to either. Again, we focus on quality, not quantity. -
Understanding how to rest, restore, and build sustainable long-term health. Recovery isn't weakness - it's strategy. This is where I integrate TCM principles about seasonal cycles and energy cultivation. Without proper recovery, your progress stalls and you become prime for injury.
If you’ve read all this well… what are you wait for? Click that blue button to schedule your complementary assessment call. This is a chance to get to know each other and see if your goals align with my methodology.
I only accept a limited number of students at any time so that I can give each one the attention and focus they deserve. The amount of spots I have open varies based on what tier everybody is at. But spots are limited, so don’t delay. Scheduling your assessment call secures your place in line.
